Today Is World Backup Day 2012: Back Up and Help Your Friends

It has arrived. This holiday has no painted eggs, no tree, no turkey, and no costumes. But it does have gifts: an iPad, five one-year unlimited online backup licenses, and more. More importantly, it has the ability to save your memories and give you the undying love of your friends, family, and co-workers.

While 94% of computer users do not regularly backup their data, if you’re reading this you are likely among the few who do. (And if you’re not, please start your free trial of Backblaze. It takes nothing more than entering an email address/picking a password, and clicking download.)

However, if you look around, almost none of the other people you know and love back up their data. Help them.

Tell them how easy it is.
Tell them why you do it.
Tell them to do it now, not after they’ve lost all their photos.

A cure for cancer was lost, companies have shut down, and lots and lots of people have gone through the five stages of grieving…all because they simply didn’t back up their data.

Take a moment and help your friends with the one minute task of making sure their photos, music, movies, and memories are safe. And if your friends start a free trial by April 2nd, 2012…they’ll also be entered to win a new iPad and one of five, free one-year subscriptions.
